Tea cultureAlthough some important tea blends are cultivated with Java and Sumatra, there is nothing like an Indonesian tea culture, as it was not able to develop. One rather finds a mixture of different tea cultures and tea ceremonies. Therefore it is possible, depending on the region, to find a Japanese and Chinese tea culture or to watch a tea ceremony obviously influenced by India. Even European influences, mainly from the Netherlands and England, can be found everywhere on the Indonesian islands. Source: http://www.tea-world-tour.de/indonesia.html | |||||||||
